About Our Schools

USD #258 Humboldt School District is proud to offer a comprehensive educational program for students from preschool through adults. We serve our student population through a variety of educational programs and services ranging from Special Education, to concurrent enrollment college courses with Allen Community College.

The school district provides preschool education to students at the Humboldt Early Childhood Education Center. Students in Kindergarten through fifth grade are served at the Humboldt Elementary Charter School, where all day Kindergarten is offered. Students in Grades 6, 7, and 8 attend Humboldt Middle School. Humboldt High School serves students in grades 9 through 12. Humboldt High School offers a comprehensive high school instructional program, including coursework identified for the Kansas Regent’s curriculum, concurrent class offerings with Allen Community College, a variety of elective course offerings along with a strong emphasis on Career and Technical Education courses. In addition to the regular high school program, USD 258 offers a variety of alternative educational services for both high school and adult learners.  Humboldt Virtual School offers a unique experience to students who need an off-site learning experience and is open to students across the state. This program also assists adult learners in meeting their goal of obtaining a high school diploma.

Humboldt Elementary School boasts strong family engagement. Parents can join and be active in their highly successful HELP organization. HMS and HHS both offer a multitude of opportunities for students to be involved in extra-curricular activities, such as athletics, FFA, FCCLA, and many more. Humboldt High School also boasts State Championships in Basketball, Football, Golf, Track, Powerlifting, FFA, and Journalism just to name a few.

USD #258 is very proud of the recognition our students receive. These awards represent a commitment from the students, staff, and parents working together to achieve success.
