Makeup snow days:

Due to the forecasted weather and dangerously cold temperatures, we will be canceling school on Tuesday and Wednesday. If you have food concerns for your children these days, please call our board office by noon (620-473-3121), and we will pack breakfast/lunches for your children for those days.

Chemistry students consider the reactivity of various metals and acids, do a neutralization reaction, and test various household substances.
Physics students use slow motion to analyze movement and calculate where a projectile will land. Will they hit the Bull's Eye?
Humboldt Elementary School still plans to celebrate the 100th day of school tomorrow, 2/13. Students and staff are invited to either dress as a 100-year-old person or wear a shirt with 100 things. We are looking forward to a fun-filled day!
We will celebrate Valentine's Day on Friday with class parties starting at 2:30. Students are invited to pass out their Valentine's Day cards to school on Friday. Students are also invited to wear clothes with hearts to celebrate Spirit Week.
Due to the expected timing of the snowstorm, we have made the decision to cancel school for tomorrow, February 12th.
The weather conditions are expected to worsen from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. For the safety of our students and staff, it is best to keep everyone at home.

1st grade has been ALL about dinosaurs & fossils this week!

We will celebrate winter homecoming "Sweetheart" next week. Thursday is the 100th day of school. Friday we will have Valentine's Day parties in the afternoon. It is going to be a FUN week!!

HHS journalism students finished up their regional contest assignments earlier this week. We will hear back on results in March.
The students worked so incredibly hard on their contests, from designing news pages and editorial cartoons to writing feature and sports stories (and much more). Way to go HHS student journalists!
