Cubs Against the Stigma hosted a powerful student panel focused on mental health awareness and support today. 💬
Students engaged in meaningful conversation around important questions like: • What are the signs a peer may be struggling, and how can we offer support?
• Why can it feel so hard to ask for help?
• What does “ending the stigma” around mental health really look like in our school community?
The feedback from participants was clear—students value open, honest conversations about mental health and want more opportunities like this to continue breaking down barriers and building understanding.
We’re proud of our students for leading the way in creating a more supportive, compassionate school environment. 💚

We are returned to normal operations. Law enforcement have investigated all claims and found everything to be secure. It appears this was a wide spread issue in our geographical area. However, we always respond to all threats quickly to ensure student safety. Thank you to our staff and law enforcement for their quick response and for our community and parents patience as we worked to ensure the environment was safe.
Our buildings are currently in a lockdown after a phone call was relayed to the police with a possible threat. We are working with local law enforcement to ensure student safety and have extra law enforcement on site. All our students are currently safe and in their classrooms.
Congratulations to our very first juniors/Class of 2027 students, Connor Gray & Bryce Culbertson, on completing their community service hours for The Humboldt Promise scholarship.
Class of 2027 students need 25 hours of approved community service to qualify for the scholarship. All opportunities are posted to The Humboldt Promise Google Classroom. Please have your child log in regularly to sign up!

The 2nd Grade Market is on Friday, May 8th, from 2:00-3:00 in the HES gym. Students have been working hard to make all kinds of Kansas-themed crafts, jewelry, artwork, etc., to sell for their Senior Kindness Scholarship. Elementary students will shop with their school families. Parents and community members are invited to join us in supporting the great cause. Please enter the elementary school through the gym doors. We hope to see you there!

We're excited to celebrate our 8th-grade class as they take the next step in their journey. Our Moving Up Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 8th, at 7:00 pm. We can't wait to recognize this incredible group of students.

Proud moment for our Cubs Against the Stigma team 💚

How can my child get their community service hours for The Humboldt Promise? We get this question every day.
The Humboldt Promise Google Classroom page has up to the minute information about all the approved community service opportunities. Just have your child login to Google Classroom and comment on posts to sign up (or just stop into our Promise Coordinator's office at the high school - Ms. Kenny).
It's that easy!

Today, the HHS band got to hear some wonderful music. The Allen County Community College jazz band came down to HHS and performed for our students as a part of their spring Jazz Tour that they take every year.
