They had the opportunity to meet with Senator Representative Pat Petty and share the incredible work our students are doing at Humboldt High School to spread mental health awareness and keep prevention efforts going strong.
We are so thankful to everyone who organized this opportunity and made youth prevention advocacy possible. Together, we’re making a difference! 💪✨

Humboldt High School journalism students brought home the gold in the 2026 Kansas Scholastic Press Association 1A/2A Bison Regional Contest. The Cubs accumulated a total of 233 points, finishing in first place, while second place competitor Chase County had 121 points.
"It's always very exciting when you place in a contest and get to see all of your hard work paying off,” Karoline Covey, jr., said. "Our program has always worked hard and it helps when we have an amazing adviser guiding us the whole way.”

Come see Ms. Kenny at tonight's basketball game in the Fieldhouse to get all your questions about The Humboldt Promise answered.

We want to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who purchased a t-shirt, stopped by our table, and attended the game tonight! Because of your support, we had over 75 people visit our table to learn more about teen mental health awareness.
Your encouragement, conversations, and presence mean more than you know. Together, we are breaking the stigma, building connection, and creating a community where our students feel seen, heard, and supported.
We are so proud of our Cubs Against the Stigma students and grateful for a community that shows up for such an important cause.
Let’s keep the conversation going! 💚

Join us this evening as we come together to spread awareness, support one another, and shine a light on the importance of teen mental health.
Let’s fill the stands, break the stigma, and show our community that mental health matters. We can’t wait to see you there! 💚

The 2025-2026 journalism awards banquet is around the corner! It will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, at the fieldhouse. I hope you can all join us! Please see flyer for details or reach out to Mrs. Phillips with any questions.
