Students advocated for free period products in the bathrooms at this month's board meeting. Their research showed that a lack of access to these products can contribute to decreased attendance.


Students in Family Studies created their own ABCs of Parenting Book after learning about what it takes to be an effective parent, parenting styles and parenting responsibilities. This was a great way for students to show what they know and retained.


Students in Intro to FACS learned about babysitting and developmentally appropriate activities for children of different ages. They practiced an activity - creating puppets and acting out a childhood favorite book through a puppet show.




Juniors in Mr. Fehr's and Mr. Carlson's American History classes toured the WW1 museum in Kansas City as a supplement to their studies.








These chemistry students earned the coveted "corn trophy" by producing the most ethanol in their class.

Announcement: If you purchased trash bags from an HHS Multimedia student, you will receive them after Thanksgiving break. Students and Mrs. Phillips will distribute the bags during the first week of December.

Picture retakes for the elementary school are tomorrow, November 12th. Students who missed our first picture day and any students wanting to have their pictures retaken will need to plan to have pictures taken tomorrow morning.

The Cub Tracks staff is working on planning and designing the next issue of the news magazine, which will publish in December.

We are excited to celebrate Halloween tomorrow at HES. Students need to bring costumes to school but are NOT allowed to wear them in the morning. Weapons of any kind are not allowed. We will change into costumes around 1:00. Please see the attached picture for more details.

Chemistry students add yeast and enzymes to corn to make ethanol. Their goal was to create a formulation that will make more ethanol than the other teams within a 24 hour timeframe.

Mrs. Isbell spent the past two days with the photo imaging class, presenting on manual photography. Thank you so much, Mrs. Isbell, for your time, bringing your expertise and knowledge to share with the student photographers. We SO appreciate Mrs. Isbell and everything she has done and continues to do for the HHS Multimedia program! She is the absolute best!
