Happy Friday, all! Since the weather was so nice, the 3rd hour photography class went outside to practice using manual settings, and then we enjoyed some popcorn afterwards.

ELEMENTARY PARENTS ONLY, Due to the confusion with the yearbook online order deadline regarding the price change, please do not place a yearbook order online at this time. If you haven’t ordered a yearbook already and would like to order one for the price of $10.00 you must call or email the elementary office AND bring in the $10.00 fee (by cash or check) by March 29th to secure a yearbook at the initial cost. If you do not notify us and pay by the 29th you will NOT receive a yearbook at the $10.00 price. Beginning March 30th you must purchase the yearbook online at the price of $24.00 plus shipping costs charged by the yearbook company. If you have any questions please call the elementary office.

Physical Science students make observations to help them better understand magnets and the interactions between magnets and electricity.

We are just about one week away from the journalism banquet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, in the fieldhouse. We will have baked potatoes and all the toppings for the meal. Families, if you would like to bring a dessert or side dish/appetizer to share with others, that would be great, but it is not required. Please let Mrs. Phillips know if you have any questions. Can't wait to celebrate all these amazing Jerds!

USD 258 is taking bids on 8 old lunchtables. Bids must include: 1. Name of buyer 2. Phone number 3. Amount of bid PER table. 4. How many tables you would like to bid on at that amount. Bids are due by noon on April 10. Successful bidders will be notified on April 15. Pickup may be scheduled from 8:00 - 4:00 on April 16 or 17 at Humboldt Elementary School at 1020 New York St, Humboldt KS. Bidder must load and transport. The Cub Tracks issue 3 is hot off the press!

Good morning, Cubs! Just wanted to remind students and families that the journalism banquet is planned for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 1. If you haven't sent in your RSVP to Mrs. Phillips, please do so ASAP. We will have a baked potato bar. Students in Human Growth and Development learned about the importance of play on physical and intellectual development. They applied their knowledge by making chalk obstacle courses/hopscotch at the elementary.

Baking and Pastry students make crème brûlée for the first time today!

Our elementary school counselor, Mrs. C, brought learning about the brain to life today during a skills lesson. Her nervous system suit and brain hat were great accessories for the lesson about the parts of the brain and how our senses affect our reactions to situations. Students got to see a sheep's brain and had the opportunity to hold it if they wished.
