The Cub Tracks news staff enjoy their first work night of the year Monday — a long-standing tradition of HHS Multimedia. Each person brought a different color dish to share for our potluck meal.
We are so excited for the first edition to publish Oct. 18!




This week our HMS Operation 🧡 Orange recipients were recognized for being great leaders, having growth mindsets, sitting with peers who were alone, staying behind and cleaning up the classroom/lunchroom, and always having positive attitudes.



The elementary school had an interesting creature helping with dismissal today! Bringing some FUN to Friday.


The Cub yearbook staff, led by editor-in-chief Sophia Barlow, has officially started production of the 2024-2025 yearbook. Sophia has worked diligently since the start of the school year to create the layout and design elements for the yearbook. We are so excited for this year's theme and can't wait to see it come to fruition.

The Humboldt High School Multimedia Department will be selling trash bags later this month, beginning Oct. 14. They cost $14 per roll. We have five sizes to choose from: 13g drawstring, 18g white, 30g black, 39g yellow and 55g green. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact a student journalist or Mrs. Phillips. Our amazing jerds attended the KSPA Fall Conference at KU in Lawrence today! They received their 2024 state journalism trophy, which is the 14th consecutive year HHS has won state. Congratulations to these wonderful student journalists!

Painting and other art activities can be a form of co-regulation. Art can help children connect with themselves and others. Painting enhances brain function, it can improve memory. Creating something whether its a "masterpiece" or not, can relieve stress and help one feel good about themselves.

Nutrition and Wellness students just finished learning about the importance of one of the 6 essential nutrients - water!
They also learned about the career of a food stylist.
Then, we combined the two to do a water photoshoot. Their goal? Make the most appealing glass of water.
