Introduction: 

Tim was born and raised in Coffeyville, Kansas where he attended Field Kindley Memorial High School. He attended Coffeyville Community College where he received his Associate Arts Degree in 1983. He graduated from Pittsburg State University in 1985, with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education (Major - History / Minor - Art). He received his Masters Degree (Educational Technology) in 1995.

Tim is in his Twenty-seventh year of education, with Twenty-four in Humboldt. Prior to Humboldt Tim taught Seventh Grade Social Studies and Eighth Grade History and Art at Dodge City Junior High. While there he coached Ninth Grade Basketball, Track and High School Tennis, and coached Summer Swim Team. Tim's first teaching assignment was at Pittsburg Middle and High School.

Tim is married to Barbara and they have one son, Zack who attends Humboldt High School. Zack will be a Junior this year at Humboldt High. 

Tim enjoys water-skiing, riding his motor cycle, going to Rock concerts, and attending Chiefs Football games (both home and away). He is a Twenty year season ticket holder.

9 Weeks At A Glance: 

Sculpture class has finished their Clay Sculpture and has started working on their Block Sculpture (Subtractive Process) from Sandstone. They will conclude the year by completing a Found Object/Junk Sculpture and then one more project where they decide on the process and the media they will use. Some in the class will get to participate in the Tri-Valley League Art Festival in April.

Computer Graphics class will wrap up working with Adobe Photoshop during the first part of the fourth nine weeks. They finished their Original Art Designs and now are working to complete the Famous Painting project. They will conclude the nine weeks working with Adobe Flash creating Vector Animations. They will also add to or create a web page to display their work. Selected Photoshop Images will also be shown at the Tri-Valley League Art Festival in April.

Principals of Illustration & Intro to Drawing class will conclude their unit with colored Pen and Ink media. Students will continue to work with the Principals of Illustration. They will also complete a unit on the computer using the Principals of Illustration and the software Adobe Illustrator. Selected drawings will also be shown at the Tri-Valley League Art Festival in April.
