Middle school athletes participate in track and field
Like many high school students, middle schoolers also have an opportunity
to participate in track and field.
Stephanie Middleton and Matt Kerr are coaching 25 seventh and eighth grade
students.
“[My goal is] for each athlete to improve individually and for the kids
to have fun,” said Middleton. “We have a large group of seventh
graders who are learning as they go. The eighth graders are doing a good job
of being leaders.”
The next middle school track meet is scheduled for April 17 at Uniontown.

Verdict reached for princess’ death
After nearly 11 years of investigation, a jury has reached a verdict about
the death of Princess Diana of Wales. The court ruled that the late princess
and her boyfriend Dodi Fayed were killed unlawfully.
Her chauffeur Henry Paul, who was also killed in the accident, and the paparazzi
who were chasing the Mercedes-Benz they were driving are being held responsible
for “grossly negligent driving.”
The jury decided that the chauffeur was drunk at the time of the accident.
The jury also decided that the fact that the couple were not wearing seatbelts
was a contributory factor.
