Senior Graduating Class of 2008

Future Plans: I plan to attend Allen Community College, and then transfer to Pittsburg State University to major in social work.
Favorite Memory: All the nights hanging out with the girls and driving around in my car. Especially the night that Torrie and I got stuck on the ice, and she had to get out and push.
Advice for Underclassmen: Enjoy every moment because it goes by fast. Have fun, be safe, and make memories.
Future Plans: I plan on attending Allen Community College, then transferring to Kansas University and majoring in business and fashion design. I plan on moving to Texas and becoming a wedding planner.
Favorite Memory: All the times I have spent with the girls. The night at Hali’s mom’s house when Tessa, Hali and I would camp out and get scared because of a little shadow.
Advice for Underclassmen: Stay close to your friends. You never know how long you will be with them.

Jenell Renee Baker

Future Plans: I plan to move to Ottawa to become a firefighter and start a family.
Favorite Memory: I enjoyed hanging out with my classmates this year.
Advice for Underclassmen: Stay in school and enjoy every second of it because as much as you’re ready to leave, you are going to miss high school.
Future Plans: I’m going to Pittsburg State University on an academic scholarship with a double major in psychology and chemistry before transfering to Kansas University for my Master’s and doctorate degrees. I hope to get a career in some sort of forensic capacity.
Favorite Memory: Working concession stand for Publications. Yummy, yummy pickle juice!
Advice for Underclassmen: Get involved, but watch your stress levels. Don’t slack off, but don’t let yourself get too worried about high school. Balance all that you do.

Michael Dean Barker

Future Plans: I plan on attending Labette County Community College for one year, and then transferring to Pittsburg State University to get a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing.
Favorite Memory: My favorite memories include senior class meetings and going on the senior trip.
Advice for Underclassmen: Get involved in as many activities as possible and enjoy high school.
Future Plans: I plan to attend Allen Community College for two years, then transfering to a university for a degree in turf management.
Favorite Memory: I was driving around with Devin, Jenell, and Tessa. Devin was hitting trash cans with his car. It was all fun and games until he got high centered on the trash can, and it took the boys lifting and Tessa’s driving ten minutes to work it off the trash can.
Advice for Underclassmen: Be involved in school activities and attend class regularly.

Future Plans: I plan to run cross country and track at Neosho County Community College for a couple of years, then transfer to a vo-tech school for welding. Maybe get married in my late 20’s and have some kids and live life.
Favorite Memory: Hanging out with my friends and the class of 2006.
Advice for Underclassmen: Have fun in high school; it goes by way too fast. Don’t listen to the girls.
Future Plans: I plan to attend Northwest Missouri State University and get a degree in Elementary Education to hopefully become kindergarten teacher.
Favorite Memory: All the great conversations at the girls lunch table, and the fun times we had growing up together.
Advice for Underclassmen: Enjoy it while it lasts. High school flies. Be yourself, don’t let anyone change who you are.

Future Plans: I plan to become a heavy equipment operator.
Favorite Memory: I enjoy the memories I have of hanging out with all my fellow classmates.
Advice for Underclassmen: Just get it done.

Future Plans: I plan to go through college and study in the criminology field of science. After college, I’ll either pursue the criminology career or start a band and tour the world.
Favorite Memory: Going on senior trip and being able to be with my friends for that long of time.
Advice for Underclassmen: Keep your heads up. Don’t let life’s troubles get in the way of schooling.

Future Plans: I plan to go straight to work and get that money coming in.
Favorite Memory: My favorite memory is when we went to football camp my freshman year at Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
Advice for Underclassmen: Have as much fun as possible.
Future Plans: I am going to attend Pittsburg State University this fall to major in art and design and minor in wood technology. I would like to work in some architectual or building design career someday.
Favorite Memory: My favorite memory is when Tessa almost burnt down Jenell’s house, but worried more about saving her candy.
Advice for Underclassmen: Think ahead when it comes to making decisions and choices, and always try to keep a smile on your face, no matter what happens.

Advice for Underclassmen: Don’t take hard classes your senior year and enjoy it. It’ll be gone before you know it, so live it up.

Favorite Memory: The night a bunch of us went to a haunted house and Bailey and Phillip hid behind a tree with a chainsaw; when Devin heard it, he cried.
Advice for Underclassmen: Work hard and wait until your senior year to slack off.

Future Plans: I plan to attend Pittsburg State University to attain a Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
Favorite Memory: The day Phillip and I spent fixing the band room wall during our freshman year.
Advice for Underclassmen: High school takes work. Try not to fall behind on homework because often times it’s hard to catch up, and even harder to find the motivation.

Future Plans: I plan to attend Hutchinson Community College on a football scholarship, then transfer to Kansas State University to pursue a degree in landscape design.
Favorite Memory: Winning League for the second year in a row, having the best record in HHS history, and all the fun times spent with my girlfriend, Taylor, and my two best friends, Whit and Thad.Advice for Underclassmen: Have fun.
Future Plans: I plan to attend Neosho County Community College and get my Associate’s in early childhood education.
Favorite Memory: Cheering this year at an away game; the squad cheered through a girl from the other team’s freethrows.
Advice for Underclassmen: Don’t follow a pattern, make up your own path. Just because so many other people only make it so far doesn’t mean you can’t make it miles further.

Future Plans: I plan on attending Neosho County Community College for a year, then attending Wichita State University and follow with a nursing degree.
Favorite Memory: Halloween night when Torrie, Terra, Amber, Trina and I went out around Humboldt Hill.
Advice for Underclassmen: Work hard because your high school career goes by fast.
Future Plans: I plan to attend Fort Scott Community College on a scholarship. Then I plan to attend Texas A&M or Oklahoma State University to double major in agribusiness and agricultural education.
Favorite Memory: All the fun nights with the girls, and the many uneventful nights cruising Humboldt.
Advice for Underclassmen: Make the best of your high school career. Time flies so have fun and make great memories. Stay out of trouble, but remember to have fun!

Favorite Memory: Tessa, Adrienne, and I were driving through town to go to a party, and Tessa’s brother threw a bottle of water on the car as we were passing.
Advice for Underclassmen: Stop the drama because it’s not worth it.
Future Plans: I am going to Hutchinson Community College to play football, then I plan to transfer to a four year college to play football, and I am majoring in education.
Favorite Memory: Winning back to back TVL championships and moving on further than any other team in Humboldt’s history.
Advice for Underclassmen: Show up to first hour on time.

Future Plans: I plan on attending Fort Scott Community College majoring in cosmetology.
Favorite Memory: When Torrie and I went to Joplin shopping, we pulled up to a stop light; there was a car next to us that Torrie waved at. Then they started waving and chased us.
Advice for Underclassmen: Live your life to the fullest. Take advantage of everything while you have the chance.
Future Plans: I plan to go to Neosho County Community College to get a nursing degree, then work somewhere as a registered nurse.
Favorite Memory: Summer of my junior year.
Advice for Underclassmen: Come to school and work hard.

Future Plans: I am moving to Lawrence to live with my sister, Erica. I’m going to take a break from school for a year and then I’m planning on going to college to be either a chef or a radiologist.
Favorite Memory: Hanging out with all my friends doing crazy stuff or just chillin.
Advice for Underclassmen: Go to school as much as possible, learn a lot, but have a good time.
  Future Plans: I plan to attend Fort Scott Community College on a meat judging scholoarship, then transfer to Kansas State University to major in animal science and be a veterinarian.
Favorite Memory: Taking the girls mudding and laughing at everyone screaming because they’ve never been.
Advice for Underclassmen: Always keep in mind what your future could hold for you and have fun with responsibility because you never know what could happen.

Favorite Memory: Just high school in general.
Advice for Underclassmen: Show up for school, pay attention, and do your work; enjoy every minute because it goes fast.
  Future Plans: I am going to Allen Community College, then to Pittsburg State University to major in accounting.
Favorite Memory: Winning TVL both in football and in basketball.
Advice for Underclassmen: Pay attention, study hard, and get good grades.

  Future Plans: I plan to first attend Allen Community College, majoring in Elementary education and minoring in early childhood development.Favorite Memory: The time we all went out to the old house out by the golf course and heard chainsaw noises. I freaked out, and I was crying so hard that Britany had to calm me down.
Advice for Underclassmen: Don’t procrastinate! It will only dig you a deep hole that is almost impossible to get out of.
  Future Plans: I plan to attend Kansas State University and major in chemical engineering. After that, I plan on getting a job at NASA and hopefully becoming an astronaut.
Favorite Memory: Definitely the morning after junior prom, when Bailey and I started dating.
Advice for Underclassmen: Don’t stress the small stuff.

  Future Plans: I plan to attend Allen Community College for one year, then transfer to Pittsburg State University to study applied science and mathematics and earn a Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or in plastic engineering.
Favorite Memory: Going to State two years in a row in Scholars’ Bowl, and Phillip pushing Justin into the wall in the old band room.
Advice for Underclassmen: Get involved. Don’t slack off too much, but also have the time of your life.
  Future Plans: Attend Allen Community College then transfer to Kansas State University for a degree in wildlife management.
Favorite Memory: All the times duck hunting in St. Paul with Justin (Kaufman) and Joab.
Advice for Underclassmen: Don’t cheat on your English papers.

Favorite Memory: At practice, when Lenzie tricked me into helping her just so coach Piley could throw a bucket full of water on me for my 18th birthday. I forgave him when we had ice cream afterward.
Advice for Underclassmen: Don’t slack off! It will get you nowhere.
  Future Plans: I plan to attend Kansas State University and major in general human ecology with a minor in leadership.
Favorite Memory: Going to the baseball game with NHS and wearing trash bags to keep dry.
Advice for Underclassmen: Be active in as much as you can. This is your last chance with these people; live it up.

Advice for Underclassmen: Enjoy your time in high school because it goes by faster than you think.
  Future Plans: I am moving to San Antonio to major in cosmetology.
Favorite Memory: Hanging out with all my friends, and enjoying all the time we spend together.
Advice for Underclassmen: Take the time and enjoy every chance you get to hang out with your friends. Graduation will come and you might not ever see some of your friends again.
