Basketball

Basketball is my favorite sport to play. This year our basketball team did really good. Our varsity went to the final game of sub state but lost. I played on JV and C team. I did pretty good in C team.

Below is an article about a C team game against Caney Valley that I was high scorer in:

Caney, Feb. 6 - Both the girls and boys JV teams along with the boys C-team were victorious against Caney. The JV girls won with a final score of 43-36. The boys JV had a win with a score of 48-39. The Boys C-Team took home a win with a score of 44-34.
Karna Carlson, so. led the JV girls score with 16 points. Following after Carlson was Bailey Myers, so., who scored 12 points.
“We played pretty well together,” said Carlson. “Everyone was alert and ready to play.”
The JV boy's team was led by Drake Tilman, jr., who scored 14 points for the team. Thad Wells, so., closely followed with 12 points.
Tyler Gean, fr., helped the C-Team by scoring 17
.

Here's an article about our C team tournament in Yates Center:

Yates Center, Jan. 27 - Despite winning a game against Neodesha at the Yates Center C-team tournament, Humboldt did not win in the championship game versus the Wildcats. The final score of the Bluestreaks game was 47-33, while the championship game with Yates Center was 42-55.
The leading scorers in the Neodesha game were Bryce Smith, fr., with 17 points, Tyler Gean, fr., with nine points, and Jacob Manbeck, fr., with eight points.
Smith led the team with a total of 13 points and Gean was in a close second with ten points during the championship game of the tournament.
“We performed really well as Bryce helped us out quite a bit,” said Gean. “We kept each other up and gave it our all.”

Football

Our football team did good this year also. I was playing but got injured so that ended my season. Varsity went 7-2 and JV went 4-1.
