Academics

My academics are very important to me. They have to be, if I want to go to a good college and have a bright future. Maybe, by the time some of you are reading this, I'll already be in college and becoming successful. In the future I plan to be a doctor.

I try to do everything to the best of my abilities, especially in the classroom.

Throughout my school career, I have achieved many things. I was awarded the President's Academic Achievement Award, and also the Certificate for Outstanding Academic Achievement for scoring in the exemplary category on the Kansas State Mathathematics Assessment.

In my 7th grade year, I was fortunate enough to be able to take the ACT tests. The University of Duke sponsored me being able to take the tests. Taking the ACT's was boring, to say the least. But ever since I've taken the tests, I have been receiving letters from Duke University. It is definitely one of the colleges that I am interested in going to once I'm out of high school.

This last year (2004) I had the privelage of going to the Allen County Spelling Bee. I had to get 1st place to be able to go to the State Spelling Bee in Topeka. To cut the story short, I did get 1st place, and was able to go on to Topeka.

Well, I guess I could say that I didn't do very well in Topeka, but below is a picture of my plaque for winning 1st place in the County Spelling Bee and my tag that I wore around my neck during the State Spelling Bee.

Besides my awards, I have received many metals for being on the Honor Roll all year and for many other Academic Achievements.

This here is my certificate I got for my Outstanding Academic Achievement in the 8th grade.
