I play sports in most of my free time. I am involved in Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball all which are available through the school.
 
This is the Volleyball Team. I also played on both JV and Varisty teams as a Setter.
  
The Humboldt Junior Varsity team played Thayer coming out on bottom with a score of 19-25 for the first game and 21-25 for the second. The top servers for the game were Terra Woods and Katie Manbeck, fr., with 8 points each, and Kayla Owens, jr., and Deedra Barnett, fr., had 7 points each.

 

 
 
This is my Basketball picture. I am #24 and play as a Guard on both Junior Varsity and Varsity teams.
 
In the varisty girls’ game, the Lady Cubs won 54-24. After a slow start, the ladies caught fire in the third quarter and kept the Lady Wildcats to only 6 second-half points. Mallory Mueller, jr., led all ladies in scoring with 18 points. Maegan Wall, jr., and Michelle Rickner, so., each scored 10. Mueller also led in assists with 6, and in steals with 5. Rickner led in the rebounding category with 8. “ The third quarter was the turning point for us tonight,” said head coach John Johnson. “We got several steals from our press, rebounded hard, and really shot well from the floor in the third quarter.”

 

 
This is the Softball Team. I also played both JV and Varsity throught the year. I play 3rd base.

Thayer, April 9- In the first round of the tournament, the girls lost to Yates Center 11-15. Kellee Frederick, so., received the loss, allowing 4 hits and 11 runs. Staci Collins, fr., gave up 4 runs and struck out a batter. Terra Woods, fr., hit a home run and had 2 RBI. Brittany Sellman, fr., also had an RBI.

In game two, the Lady Cubs lost 0-15. Deedra Barnett, fr., pitched the loss. She gave up 7 hits, 15 runs, and struck out 2. Collins had the only hit, a single, and stole a base.

In the third game, the ladies lost to Colgan 12-13. Frederick pitched the loss. She gave up 9 hits, 13 runs, and struck out 2 batters. Freshman Katie Manbeck hit a home run, had 2 RBI, and stole 3 bases. Woods hit a triple, stole 2 bases, and batted in a run. Barnett had a single, 5 steals, and 1 RBI. Collins had an RBI. Kayla Zimmerman, fr., stole 3 bases and batted in a run.
